FAQ

What is the best way to clean and maintain on the surface of Elite Mouldings polyester laminates?

You may clean with a damp cloth, ordinary soap and water, or, if considered necessary, with a general-purpose household cleaner. Recommended Household Cleaners: Mr. Clean, Pledge, Windex, Fantastik, Formula 409, TOP JOB, Glass Plus, Dawn. For more stubborn dirt and greasy fingerprints use solvents such as Acetone (nail polish remover), methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) (use adequate ventilation, beware of open flame). Acidic or abrasive cleaners should not be used because it can damage laminate surfaces.

Will your mouldings stand up to VIROX 5?

Yes, we took this into consideration when formulating our design. The recommended solutions on products seem to keep the Hydrogen Peroxide % level low and 5 minute time should not harm the polyester laminate.

Can you design a custom trim for us?

Yes if the quantity is sufficient, just contact our staff for details.

What kind of surfaces can cornice mouldings be installed on?

Moulding can be installed over brick or concrete walls, but require that wooden blocks be first glued in place, adding time and complexity to the job. The most common surfaces are drywall and a stipple or popcorn ceiling. The stucco or stippled ceiling does not need to be shaved or remove prior to installation. Simply dap or apply caulking when done.
